Frequently Asked Questions for Studio Guests
1. Where will my interview take place and at what time should I arrive? Your interview will take place in one of the two dedicated WMR.com studios, at the UK HQ of WMR.com. See the map at the end of the document for directions.
We ask guests to arrive at the studios an hour before broadcast. This will give you time to prepare in the green room, meet the presenter, and familiarise yourself with the studio layout. You will be provided with the suggested time of arrival, and the time your interview is taking place, when your interview is confirmed. 2. What shall I provide you with before the interview? We would like to publicise and preview your appearance on WMR.com before your interview -- making sure you get the maximum return for your time with us. With this in mind, we ask you to supply us (by email) a profile photograph (suggested resolution 300 dots per inch / pixels per inch), a short (approx 200 words) biography including your website details and a list of questions you would like us to ask you (or a list of topics you are happy to talk about). If you are promoting a specific product on WMR.com, please also email us with a web-ready image of the product and a short description you would like to feature alongside it. We will include this information on our website, and it will appear onscreen during the duration of your interview when it is broadcast.
Please email the above information to: support@wmr.com at your soonest convenience. 3. What should I bring with me? Having props to talk about in the studio always brings conversations to life. If you'll be talking about how you market watches, then bring along some of your watches so we can describe them to the listeners. 4. What programme am I appearing on and who will interview me? We will send you these details when we confirm your interview. 5. What sort of programme is it? Each programme has a dedicated profile on WMR.com. Once you know which programme you will be appearing on, check the relevant programme page for more information regarding the tone, and topics of the programme. 6. Will anyone else be interviewed apart from me on this programme? WMR.com usually interviews guests individually. Should this not be the case, we will be in touch with you well in advance to brief you on who will be appearing alongside you. 7. Will I get a list of the questions I am likely to be asked before the interview? No. We ask that you send us across a list of questions that you would like us to ask you, or a list of topics that you feel comfortable discussing. We will endeavour to hold the conversation around this. 8. What is the anticipated audience type? Our audience is primarily US and UK entrepreneurs with a real interest in growing, marketing and developing their business. They're looking for inspirational stories of how you overcome the odds -- and practical advice about how you got to where you are today. 9. How long will the programme be? Programmes will usually last for one hour, however length may vary. Please allow 90 minutes for your WMR.com 'studio experience', allowing you time in the green room beforehand. 10. Will the programme be live or pre-recorded? Programmes will be pre-recorded, professionally edited and produced before broadcast. The actual length of the interview broadcast will depend on the editing, but will usually be an hour long. 11. If the programme is pre-recorded will I be able to hear the edited version before it is broadcast? No. Due to time constraints, we hand over any pre-recorded material to the editing team and they then cue it up for broadcast. 12. Who shall I contact if I need more information or if I cannot attend as arranged at the pre-booked time? Should there be any problem with your pre-arranged slot, please contact Studio Support as soon as you can so we can make other arrangements. (0845 117 3000/ email: support@wmr.com)
